Ahoy there me hearties, listen up!.....Now I’m assuming that given the nature of this site you probably like pirates, and if you have got this far, you can read also, so it’s a fair chance that you be interested in reading a good old pirate yarn.
Well the nice people at simonandschuster.com have equipped me with a fine looking hardback copy of the book Flint & Silver, a prequel to the classic Treasure Island, by John Drake. Here’s what they be saying about it.

“Flint and Silver provides a thrilling ride back to Robert Louis Stevenson’s rich and wondrous world of Long John Silver and his fiendish nemesis Joseph Flint. Full of rigorous nautical detail and the depth and depravity of these iconic characters, Drake’s novel takes us back, long before Jim’s encounter, to the origins of the story. How did the mysterious Billy Bones come by his scar? Where did his foreboding song come from? And, best of all, who is his Captain Long John Silver, and where did he come from—and just how did he lose that leg?
A fantastic story full of rich and raucous characters, and a mesmerizing romp of a story, Flint and Silver tugs at the strings of those young at heart who wish to revisit the world of a beloved classic while enjoying the lightning pace and thunderous power of today’s best commercial fiction.”
So if you have room in your treasure chest for such a worthy prise, read on and I’ll tell you how you can go about winning it.
